Every recreational youth soccer association everywhere is in desperate need of volunteer coaches. All that’s needed is a desire to help. Soccer experience helps, but isn’t a prerequisite for recreational play at all. A few simple activities will get you through a U5, U6 and even a U8 practice. To learn more, check out these resources.

Consider getting your license: You can register and begin taking U.S. Soccer’s online courses for coaches of young players. Video courses can be stopped and started at any time. This is a great introduction to coaching that will give you tips and activities to better coach U5-U8 players.
