Soccer in the Bluegrass is pleased to announce a new sponsorship agreement with Buchart Orthodontics.
Buchart Orthodontics, the private Lexington practice of Dr. Michael Buchart since 1999, provides quality orthodontic care to the children and adults in his hometown.
“I grew up playing soccer,” said Buchart. “I played my entire life. I played club soccer and I actually played for Lexington Catholic before I went away to high school, so it’s got a special place in my heart. It’s my favorite sport.”
That love of soccer also helps Buchart connect with his patients.
“A good majority of our patients play soccer,” he said. “We’ve got to give back to them. They’ve done a lot for us. We talk to them about their games … and we just felt this sponsorship would be really good to fit into our practice and support all of our patients.”
Soccer in the Bluegrass, established in 2017, promotes soccer news and information for Central Kentucky and offers a platform for local coaches, players and soccer families to share their views and achievements.
Buchart Orthodontics’ mission is to provide each patient with “the highest quality care using the most efficient treatments”.
Dr. Buchart explains, “We really believe here that no two patients are the same, so we have a philosophy of an individualized treatment approach to each patient. We also strive to have the best patient customer service, and we try to differ ourselves from other orthodontic practices in town.”
Dr. Buchart is a member of the American Dental Association, Bluegrass Dental Society, American Association of Orthodontics and the Southern Association of Orthodontics, and he has been awarded the national Thomas M. Graber Award of Special Merit by the American Association of Orthodontics for outstanding research by an orthodontic resident.
Dr. Buchart graduated with high distinction from the University of Kentucky School of Dentistry and completed his residency at the University of Louisville School of Dentistry. He completed his undergraduate degree at Centre College.
Buchart Orthodontic also recently welcomed Dr. Lucy Wachs to the practice. Wachs, also a Kentucky native, got her undergraduate degree from Centre as well, and went on to get her DMD and Master of Science from the UK School of Dentistry.
Soccer in the Bluegrass, which was founded by Cary Tsamas and Jared Peck, aims to be the number one resource for soccer in the area. Tsamas has been a college, high school and club coach in Kentucky for more than 20 years. Peck is a sportswriter for the Lexington Herald-Leader and soccer dad.
Both are passionate about the game, Central Kentucky and its players and they have created Soccer in the Bluegrass to help soccer grow in the community.
